Hey everyone.
I'd like to do a rear wall cubby with a door. I don't necessarily want full access into the trunk, but I want more than a small "box" to put things in. Thought about the Breeze kit, but I'm not sold on it yet. Might make my own enclosure.
Anyway, my real question is, where can I find a door for my project? I did a search and didn't see anything that really did it for me. Awhile back, I remember seeing someone had purchased a panel door and frame that looked really nice, but could not find that post or remember the forum member that did it. I even remember he posted a link to the door he bought. IIRC, it was some scientific supply company. Anyway, I'd like to find a nice door for my cubby that sits flush, in black (guess I could always paint it) and is lockable. Anyone have suggestions? DuckDuckGo has not been very helpful when searching for something like this.

At one point, I also wanted a cubby with a door. I tinkered with an electric door that would slide open one way or the other, but in the end, I abandoned the idea entirely, and just carpeted the back wall. I'm going to put some sort of bungee net on the back wall to hold stuff, and call it good.
Don't know if this will help, but here is the one I built for mine. Made the door myself and covered the face of the door with the same vinyl as I did for the dash and used a "speaker" fabric to cover the inside of the door. For the cubby itself I just measured between the inside roll bar mounts, subtracted a few inches, and then used cardboard to create the shape of the panels. Covered the entire trunk, including the inside and outside of the cubby walls, and then used bulb seal on the top edge before installing the body. By the way, I have the battery box in the trunk, and I just stopped the depth of the cubby about two inches short of the back edge of the box. Other than the door, which has a black piano hinge on the bottom edge, it was one of the simplest creations I made for the car. If you can find a door that you can live with the rest is simple. Just cut the opening to fit the door.

If you decide to do a hinged door your door size and shape and therefore the opening size and shape will be limited by your installed seats.
I have a fairly large parallel sided round ended hole to access my cubby and after 12 seasons have never thought I should have put a door on it.
I'm not afraid to leave a valuable in the cubby as long as it is out of sight as you'd have to get into the car and fish around for it - not lock implies nothing valuable inside.
I really only leave it at car shows though.

Wizbangdoodle-
This was a good thread last July on cubby’s and storage:
https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?49445-Glove-Box-Cubbys-and-storage
My posts are #4 and #10-where I think I answered your question. I found a door from an audio equipment rack supplier. R1325 from Penn Elcom.
I described it in my build threaded entries #43 and #61:
