I know this is a heavily debated topic, and I've read tons of posts debating it. My decision for my car is to switch to Tilton.

As an aside, I just tore out the one FFR steel front brake line that I installed and replaced it with Nicopp. Ran both front lines and the end result, which I'll post to my build thread, came out really nice. But, I'll be tearing it out as well because I've come up with different routing when I install the Tiltons. I'm fine with that though. Been enjoying the tubing work in spite of using up a full 25ft roll just for the front:).

I've been shopping the various online fitting sources to come out of the Tilton MS and get to 3/16 flare. I wanted an elbow, 3AN x 3/8-24 female inv flare. I can't seem to find it. I've got 40+ years of piping design experience but all big stuff for HVAC and utility plants. So, I'm not sure if the fittings I want don't exist, or I'm not reading the designations properly. As close as I've come to figuring this out is a 3AN x 3/16 inv flare female straight adapter, like used at the F-panel, but I'd really like an elbow.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Pat

See My Build thread, post #123. I too could not find a direct 90 deg fitting so I used a AN-3 to 1/8 npt female and the put the Wilwood 90 deg 1/8 NPT to flair. worked out great!

Thanks. Your solution is pretty clean looking. I especially like the banjo bolt on the clutch MS.

I also looked at post 67 in your thread to see routing of the clutch flex line. Curious... did you use the 30" flex line provided by FFR?

Thanks,

Pat

I did use the FFR provided 4-AN hose.

Did you get that fitting direct from Tilton? I was looking on their site but did not see it.

The fittings that F500 showed are pretty common. Try places like Inline Tube, Racetronix, The Stop Shop, Pegasus, Earls, etc. Once I get mine sorted out, I'll post details in my thread.

I did not, I got it from a supplier. Measure the thread depth needed, I believe I cut down a banjo bolt so it would not bottom out on the AN sealing surface. Pegasus Racing has banjo bolts.

Sorry, I was wondering about the AN-3 to 1/8 npt female. From the Tilton Photos it seems like their thread depth is a lot deeper than the standard adapters available online.

Check out the fitting at the link below. You may be right about the depth. In the description they actually refer to deep ports and this is a Tilton part. TE 2089-188L part number at Pegasus.

Pegasus also notes on some of their adapters that you can use a crush washer, so you wouldn't be using the 37 degree seat for the seal if you took that approach.

Thanks Pat. I checked with Tilton today to see if they had one and they said no. They also said to use a crush washer and said that is what they do when testing.
