Has anyone installed cruise control in their roadster. I'm considering installing one in my roadster. You ask why, I plan on taking 350 400 mile road trips, I also have nerve damage in my right foot so after an hour or so driving it becomes nump my foot gets really heavy HAHA. ;)
Also here's a short video of my project just waiting for engine to arrive.

I have CC in my car. Installation was pretty easy, since it's drive by wire. I use it all the time, even on short trips.

Thanks, I'm using old school tech running a 408W with 750 holly. This may be a bit of a challenge to figure out how to make it all work.

I've been running CC for over 20yrs in my Cobra. SBF with Holley HP Terminator TBI and it works great. I have a vacuum operated (no longer available) by Audiovox (now Dakota Digital) which has been replaced years ago with a electronic operated setup. The new one is much easier and wide ranged than the vacuum one so that's what I'd install. You will love it!!! The electronic one has more PPM's to choose from and you can tap into the VSS or OSS signal to operate it cleanly. I can get some current pics of where/how my control is mounted if you want.

That would be great if you could send some pics so can get an idea how it will go together.

Here's some pics to give you an idea. The servo can go anywhere it'll fit, but I'd put it where you can adjust settings easily if needed. Shortening the cable will be tricky if you need to do that. Some have routed it to the throttle pedal itself and not the "TB linkage" but that's up to you. The newer electronic servo is a bit bigger than my vacuum operated one. The rest is straight-forward on wiring. Placement of master control is up to you. Mine is within easy reach of my left hand on the 2x2 tubing. I like things out of sight, but easy to control. My servo only runs up to 8,000-PPM's (pulses per mile) so I need to run a VSS. The newer electronic has more PPM range and I believe the TKO's (I have one) run a 12,000-PPM count and the servo can wire directly to the OSS feed. I have it mounted on a bracket to the frame tubing. You'll need to check/verify the settings. Nicest feature after HP and heated seats! :o

OK, now I have a visual, it looks very straight forward and nice install. I also like things out of sight line gives it an authentic look. Thanks for your input I'm going to move forward with this as soon as I get my engine installed.
Thanks again
