I will say I'm loving the styling, but we don't know how much it will cost.
The hybrid plus dual clutch means no manual and increased complexity.
I hope that the price/weight/performance is in GT-R territory.
Totally different MO from the 818 however. 818 concept is about simplicity and distilled performanc, where this is technology.
Also no Senna.

doesn't matter what the cost is. Honda needs to have a flagship car again period! It would just be nice for it to not have the ridiculous price tag of the LFA!
and obviously its the 818 reference is clearly a joke. some of you guys get a little to serious about the car comparisons...

It looks amazingly close to the sneak peek artist's conception of the 818 project.

at least they dropped the whole giant engine up front rear drive design they had been toying with.

It looks OK, but I love the original NSX much better... Hopefully this will drive down the price of them for me... Not likely though.
EDIT - my posts for the next week will have many typos... Damn near cut my middle finger off this weekend so it's all bandaged up.

I imagine the new NSX will be at least 150k. As long as it isn't 400k like the LF-A I think it will be a success, the real giant they have referenced going after a few times is the Ferrari 458 Italia which is about 220k from what I understand. The NSX will have to stay under that price to be relevant and I don't care what technology they shoehorn into it.
It's no 818 though, it's an AWD DCT Hybrid supercar not an elemental lightweight car. At 3100 lbs is will be much lighter than most of it's competition but still squarely in premium modern super tech spercar territory.
The original NSX was actually quite slow in straightline performance which this NSX will be much more powerful. Our 818's will be close to 2x as fast to 60 as the original NSX but still won't have the optimal balance that the original NSX had with it's transverse V6 mounted way in front of the rear wheels. The original NSX had 0 mechanical overhang past the axle hubs and about 50% of the transmission in the 818 will hang past the tires themselves.
This new NSX will have a dedicated electric motor/generator on each of the front wheels according to the latest Honda NSX Concept teaser. Looks like they will use them to do some advanced torque vectoring where instead of applying the brakes in a turn, the outside wheel's motor will provide torque re-directed from the inside wheel that will be in generator mode. That's pretty cool, I don't think anyone has quite done that yet.
We'll have a nimble little car with the 818 but it will be more about power/weight ratios vs. optimal weight distribution and having a tight center of mass and it certainly won't have the high tech vectoring or hybridized AWD setup of the new NSX.

Here's the NSX teaser video from Honda I was talking about
http://www.autoblog.com/2012/02/04/honda-explores-nsxs-past-with-an-eye-toward-the-future/
Lots of footage of the original NSX and some good teaser footage of the concept and it's drivetrain

Estimated MSRP is around $130k.
Still, nice job Honda.

This, the NSX is the only car I'd sell/trade my 911 for.
