Man it's hard to be patient.
My dad and I sanded the clear an started the graphics on the body today. I still have to apply the stripes tomorrow morning then we can re clear the hood and body.
We also got the doors, rear hatch, wing and front splitter all graphiced and re cleared today.
Weekends are not long enough.
How do you guys insert full size pictures?

I use a picture hosting service, like photobucket, then paste the image URL (but uncheck retrieve and reference local). I think if you upload to the FFR server, it will show as a thumbnail. Not 100% certain though.

I've been attaching the pictures from my hard drive. Full size pictures are a lot more fun to look at than the thumbnails that have to load and be advanced through.
Here is the shinny pictures from today.:p

Wow sk7500. I like the body mods. Especially what you did with the mouth. Do you have a build thread I missed?

sk7500,
That's beautiful work! Are you working out of a professional paint booth? If not, how do you keep the defects down (fisheye, dust, etc)? Don't want to change the direction of the thread so if you can PM, I would appreciate it. Really nice color combo. WEK.

To post the full size images you can also create an album on this site then link to your abum pictures from your post. To get a good presentation you should size the pictures down to 250kb or so. Thats what works for me anyway.
Love the paint job BTW.

Thanks for the support.
Check out "Pretty Cool Build" on the other forum. If I could figure out how to move it here I would love it. Dual post are a pain.

Thanks for the compliment.
I am fortunate to have access to a private booth, but I've painted lot's of cars in a garage. Fish eyes came from contaminants on the surface. As for dust and other contaminants, if you accept that these are part of the process and can be rubbed out, you don't loose so much sleep. I find that most dirt in the paint process comes from the car itself and not so much from the booth or lack there of. A basecoat / clearcoat system is usually better if you have a less than desirable environment. It dries faster and so it doesn't have to stay dust free as long. And doesn't make such a mess. The biggest advantage to using a booth is that lighting is good and the spray mist is pulled out so you can see what you're painting.

Very nice. Looks like you are getting the max lift possible given the amount of shock travel we have. Sounds like electric motors driving the lift? Where did you get those?
Too bad I already replaced my driveway.

Replace my driveway!? Why didn't I think of that? It would have been much easier. Unfortunately the GTM trunk space doesn't allow me to take my driveway with me. So I guess a lift was the only answer after all.

The actuators are 400 lb units from Progressive Automation.

1057510576I wish that were true. Everywhere I look there seems to be more to do. Interior being the big one. Now that things are going together for the last time it's pretty slow. It's amazing how much time you can spend admiring something as simple as putting on a mirror. You just have to look at it from all angles before you can move on!? I did manage to get a little more more done. Take a peek.
PS. I didn't forget your lights, I just haven't dug them out yet.
