First, thank you admins for activating me!
Long time lurker, tardy to post. My son and I are building a Type 65 Coupe in a little village just north of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Complete kit ordered 4 Apr and delivered 22 July 2024. We've made slow but steady progress. I plan to start a build thread. Not planning anything drastically different than the amazingly well documented builds here and YouTube but will be looking for any gaps to add to the body of knowledge.
Special thanks to the YouTuber's Cobra Daytona Build, Oak Hollow Garage, and Walton Racing! Being able to read an instruction and then watch someone do it is priceless!

Gotta luv the Looney Tunes reference ;)

P.S.: Just don't go "pffft" like Wile E. Coyote after falling from the cliffs...

Cool,
Live in Rio Rancho. Dreaming of a coupe build some time. If you need a hand or have some time to show it off, I would love to see one in person.

Thanks Phil!
Will definitely have to coordinate something. I was lucky enough to have a work trip up to Mass and seeing these cars in person really did it for me, they are special.

Justinh,
Congratulations on the type 65! Building with your son will be something you will never forget. My son helped some but the Marine Corps and his career kept it to a minimum but I wish I had more time with him. Thank you for the shout out as the YouTube channel Cobra Daytona Build is mine and if you need anything please reach out. I have made some amazing friends around this great country because of the type 65. It's truly a family and amazing what this car will bring to your life.

Rsnake,
Thanks! My oldest son being 15 was a driving factor for going ahead with the build now. I've wanted to build a car, he wants to go into the mech eng / automotive career field so the coupe seemed a perfect team project before he heads off to college.
Excited to join the community!
