Hard to believe but the Nevada Open Road Challenge is right around the corner.
We have three Type 65's going, myself, Dave and Mark from San Diego.
Here is a link to the event. https://sscc.us/
Hoping to have more Factory Fives.

That might be a possibility. The custom work I am doing is chewing through time.

Funny how the custom work really slows things down:)

Found out my lower ball joint boots were cracked last night. Both sides. Added that to the list ;)

Well, I knew I was going to be doing it from the start. Then again, there are some things I did not plan on. Nothing is being spared from being modified or created. As this is the last car I will ever own (I am 71), I figure I better do it right. So however long it takes, is how long it will take. :)

My car will not be done. There was a change in plans on the car and health challenges. NEXT YEAR!

I would love to do it but my car is still back in Pennsylvania. I may come out to watch, however.

I might be looking for a navigator if my son cannot make it. Anyone interested?
Will need a serious release of liability.

2.5 more weeks until the Nevada Open Road Challenge. Mark, Dave and myself. I did find a navigator, my brother. My sister gets everything if we both die at the event:)
We will post photos and videos when we return. Hope to have more Type 65's in September.

I was going to take my Spyder but they want me to take it to vegas to show them that I can drive. I'm getting my NASA license in June, so maybe I'll make the september show...

With rallye equipment like that I expect an 1/10th of a second finish differential! I put my name it as a volunteer since there are no spectators. We'll see if I am worthy.

Let us know if you secure a spot to volunteer!

Mark, I am looking forward to meeting you and your son in two weeks.

Presdough, with your NASA license I can guarantee they will give you a waiver for the Vegas school. I would love to see your Spyder as I have never seen one in person

The attached pic shows how I navigated (ran the event solo) last September, picking up 2nd place in the 135 mph group (0.6 secs off over 90 miles) - note the 'drive at 138' in the upper left corner - this is how I banked time from a dead stop and came out just about right on time out of the slow 'narrows' section of the course.
