View Full Version : Manual Fan Switch Wiring Question: Indicator Light

I'm planning to use the redundant green wire in the Ron Francis harness used for the water temperature sensor for a manual override switch so that I can energize the fan if needed.

My plan is to connect the green RF sensor wire to a toggle switch and add an in-series indicator light on the ground side of the switch that'll illuminate whenever the fan is manually operated.

My question is this: Will the indicator light I'm planning to use carry the load used to trigger the fan relay? The specs say it's rated at 20 mA.

Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NCBG4R3?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Thanks.

Indicator light should be wired in parallel not series.

Jeff,

Thanks for the info.

So, let's see if I've got this right: On the ground terminal of the toggle switch, run one wire directly to ground and also run one wire to the indicator light and then the other indicator light wire to ground?
