Hello everyone, my name is Ronnie, and I'm with Forte's Parts Connection. In all honesty I'm a little new FFR but I love learning about the world of kit cars and meeting people from different walks of life and their builds! This year is our 44th year in business and as many people here know we specialize in everything to do with FFR kit cars and sell Engines (Boss', Coyotes, Aluminators, FE's, BluePrint engines) Tremec Transmissions, Ford IRS and Performance parts from big names like Holley, Edelbrock, Wilwood and many more!. We also have our own parts made for FFR kit cars like mechanical throttle link, Degas Surge tank and many more! I'm joining the forum to become a part of the community and to extend Mike Forte's expertise on anything to do with everything and more that was mentioned above. As Mike is always very busy, I'll be happy to answer any questions related to our products and services. Please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to contributing to the discussions and learning!

Are you the guy with the old hot rod? I've been a customer of Mike's since back in the days he was in Waltham (1980's?). Great guy and always with a helping hand or to help steer me in the right direction. If any of you guys have been to his shop, the only comment would be - how does he know where anything is?

Hi Ronnie, welcome aboard. I just received my engine/transmission combo and some other parts from you all. Heck, we've probably spoken on the phone a time or two during the process. I'm sure I'll be reaching out to you in the future with questions.

Hi Ronnie,

I have purchased many things from Mike over the past few years. Love the service and the advice. A few of us in our local cobra group (Sacramento Factory Five) are restoring an old NAV Cobra for a family who had their father/husband pass away last year (Ron Jolly); he also purchased many things from Mike on his Type 65 Daytona. Anyway, we are looking for a throttle linkage set up but we cannot use the throttle pedal you provide in that kit. Is there anyway you can sell us the linkage without the throttle pedal?

Thank you for your help. I can call this week if needed.

Hey Ted,

First of all Sorry for your/the family's loss and secondly thanks for supporting our small business I think it's really cool people from the other side of the country or even world from different walks of life who finds out about us and buys something! I believe we can sell the linkage without the pedal. Can you give us a call and talk to Mike or Will? I'm sure they can figure something out.

Thanks,

Ronnie

No sir! That would be one of our engine builders Aaron. And weirdly enough: He does know where everything is.. except when the employees move something...;)

Hi Ronnie, I am going up to MA next month to hopefully place an order on a Mk5. I want to put a coyote with tremec on it but wasnt sure what options Id need to have to take to make it work/ fit. On the FF site a while ago it talked about needing to change a plate underneath because of motor depth I guess. Can you package something as good to go and just slot it in? Happy to connect directly if that helps.

Hi UKSNAKE, We do Turnkey packages which are basically put the engine and Transmission together so you can basically drop it in. Can you give us a call and we can go over everything? +1 508-875-0016 or email Mike directly at mikeforte302@gmail.com he will gladly put a quote together for you and go over everything you may need or any concerns you may have.

My experience with Forte's:

I purchased a turnkey from Forte. They shipped it to Australia. It was packaged really well, both for compactness (reduce freight cost) and to prevent damage in transit.
Absolute 5 star service from Mike and his crew.

Hi Ronnie, welcome to the forum.

I recently received the Forte windshield mount and noticed there was no information included relative to installation. I'm not at that point yet, but wondering if there is installation information that should have been included, or will it be obvious when I get to that point in the build?

Thanks,

Pat
