I've had three reports from the field, out of the dozens of CNC machined firewall receiver nuts I have sent out, that the threads are a little tight. These are a CNC machined part and all are identical. On my car, I had to lightly work one with a jewelers file , while the other threaded right one. This suggest to me the factory supplied parts have some varying tolerances, as they are a cast part.

Please check yours before installing on the car to make sure yours aren't ones that will require work. For anyone not comfortable with the way theirs fit, send them to me with the FFR supplied part and I will fit them in my shop and pay shipping to return. Thanks.

Tim,
I installed a couple of your hood pin receiver CNC nuts on the hot rod, with only a little work they went right on, you can see it on the left side of the attached photo.

Car is at body shop. I had wrapped mine with teflon tape to tighten up the platic nuts so i had to get all that off of the receivers. I put new nuts in vice (protected them) put some oil on the threads and ran them on about 5 or 6 times. After this they threaded on nice and smooth. Issue was with cast reciever part. They worked great.
