Fellas, how many years are you seeing out of R888R's? Mine are going on 5 years and seem to be getting a little "slippery". Caught me off guard yesterday and stepped out a little bit. :-)

Yeah, I know...I should be wearing them out instead of aging them out.

Oh they definitely get hard with age…at 5 years I’d consider them used up regardless of miles. I noticed a decline the second season. By year 3 they were hard and had lost a significant amount of grip. I got about 5,000 miles and probably close to 100 autocross runs out of a set.

Figured as such, marked difference this year...I'll replace. :-)

You're supposed to get 3-5k on these tires as opposed to years. Have mine for about 3,500 miles (2 years) and I'm about ready to replace because they're starting to wear. I drive hard - going to Tail of the Dragon, The Snake, etc 2-3 times a year. BEST tire I ever had! Sticky, surprisingly good in the wet, actually expected about 3000 before replacement. I have a gen 2 and run the largest that'll fit in the rear 315/35 ZR17. It's the only tire I'll ever use. Tried many - Nitto, Kumho, General, BFG. 888 the best.

I have about 3500 on them and they still look decent from a tread perspectove, but yes....I love them as they are sticky AF and gets the Coyote HP to the ground.
