Hi All -
I want to add a glove box to my MK1. Any suggestion of kits, or where to start?
Thanks!

So I fabricated a glove box for my build (it's a MKIV) and included some details in my build thread (it extends over a few posts): https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?38979-The-Brew-City-Cobra-427W-IRS-Paint-Plan-Finalized&p=534862&viewfull=1#post534862
I'm not sure exactly what a MKI dashboard looks like but if it is just an aluminum panel with some open space behind it, the steps should be more-or-less applicable.
Mind you, I build mine from scratch, I do believe there are kits available as well to take some of the legwork out of it.

are you planning on using existing dash, or getting a new blank dash? I think there's a difference between the currently produced dash and the ones from the MK1.
Also, do you have a heater behind the dash? this might affect the depth of your box. Others have been able to 3D print boxes. Not sure if FFR offers a standard glove box as an ala cart option.

I have a now MK1 dash, so starting fresh. I do not have heat, but would probably go shallow to plan ahead, just in case.

Another home fabricator here, with some detail starting here (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?27168-John%92s-Mk4-Build-Thread&p=439881&viewfull=1#post439881) in my build thread. PM me if you have any interest in the pattern (basically interior volume of the glove box), I still have it. Maximizes the space behind the dash and in front of the heater, standard kit heater and firewall.
