I just installed the body on my mk4. The front jack support bolts are not quite aligning with the pre drilled holes in the fiberglass body. In order to make them line up with the holes in the body I would need to pull both support arms coming off the frame over about 1/2 in. Has anyone needed to pull them over to align them with the holes.? Does anyone have any recommendations on how to line them up with the holes in the body. The rest of the body is sitting fine on the frame.
thanks'

Common issue.
Usually the DS needs to move more than the PS.
Take a 2x4 and put it on the outside of the "outrigger" and hit it hard w/ a small sledge.

thanks. My driver side is the biggest culprit.
Happy New Year.

I had the same issue I fixed it with the above advice as well. The only thing I did different was I dropped a plum bob down from the out riggers and arked them with tape on the floor so I could measure how much I moved them rather than guessing, only to find out by putting the body back on I need to go more on one and less on the other.

This adjustment has needed to be done for many years, and earlier models. Not sure if it is from a shipping issue, or welding jig misalignment.
Pretty simple correction from what I recall.

But, but, but...you need to center the body first. Measure from the top shock mount bolt out to the lip of the fender. Make sure the # is the same on both sides. Now bend the frame pieces to match the holes.

Thanks Everyone,
The hammer two by four technique seemed to work.
