Pretty cool stuff. The rev'ing of the fans though sound a bit like huge vacuum cleaners. But that is one fast Batmobile looking car. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah - not quite sure how they are claiming a world record when Top Fuel are doing sub-4 second 1/4 mile runs, but pretty amazing regardless. My old BMW M550i did 0-60 in four seconds and that feeling was pretty unreal in a 5,000lb 4-door sedan.

That's a million dollar car. Set the hill climb record at Goodwood last year. Just nutty.

I love all the drag and drive events. Even if some of those cars are really pushing the "street car" definition. Although, if they can pull a trailer and make the 1000 miles of road trips...I guess they really are.
One of my favorites is Devin Vanderhoof's convertible Fox body. He runs in the 6's (quarter mile) on 275's.

Brett Lesala's "snot rocket" is running 6'ohs on a small tire with a Coyote based motor. https://www.performanceracing.com/magazine/industry-news/01-30-2025/new-world-records-set-during-2025-sick-week#:~:text=Brett%20LaSala%20secured%20a%20new,fr om%20last%20year's%20Sick%20Week.

6.40 Seconds @ 223 MPH Screams Volumes!
.Having to drive from track to track pulling a trailer does too.
..I doubt if any electric car could compete with these racers.

The McMurtry Speirling is anything but boring. It obliterated a 23 year old record at the Goodwood Hill Climb. It doesn't make all the "vroom vroom" noises, but if that's the main criteria for excitement, then you're just a fan of noise, not racing.

I guess you could say the same thing for EV racing. If mashing the pedal and sitting there quietly is your kind of racing, you can get that at a theme park.

Does anybody even like or watch the Formula-E Racing series?
This car reminds me of my beloved friends who have cars with Auto-Magic Transmissions, Power Steering, Power ABS Brakes, Rear Steer & Other Stability Controls.
Their cars all quite nice & very sophisticated but I fear most would hurt themselves, or worse, if they drove any of our cars (Any Factory-Five) in a spirited manner.

It is the difference between the driver accomplishing the task, and the car accomplishing the task. Personally, I want to own it all.
