Hello All,

This is my first post, but I have used this forum extensively during my build so thank you very much to everyone in advance.

I am currently trying to plumb the Moroso Expansion Tank Part #63806 seen below:

I've seen it on a few other builds but only with a Coyote. If I could please ask for some help as to how to plumb it to my Blueprint 427? I know the forward facing hose on the top of the tank goes to the top of the radiator on the drivers side with a check valve, but where does the rear facing fitting and the fitting on the bottom connect to on this engine setup? Please find photos below of the front of the engine to hopefully help.

I will not be running a heater, so if I could also please get some advice regarding any necessary bypassing of the heater along with the advice on plumbing this tank it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you to all!

Welcome to the forum. That tank is specifically made by Moroso as a replacement for the OE stock plastic Coyote tank used by Ford. The plumbing is configured accordingly. As you said, you've seen it a number of times but always on a Coyote build. I've personally not seen it used for other engines. It may work for your engine, and maybe someone can give you some direction. But I'm not sure it's the best choice in this case. FWIW, this is the cooling system diagram for the Coyote and you can see where each of those tank connections are routed on the Coyote. https://www.diyford.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/SA380_FULLBOOK_FordCoyote_Page_106_Image_0002.jpg

Don't know if this will help but here is the connection of the bottom line to the Coyote.

If you follow edwardb's diagram you can see the fitting is part of the heater hot coolant system.
