Ok, I've been searching and searching and haven't found the answer yet. I'm sure this must have been answered somewhere before so I apologize for possibly posting a repeat. Here goes...
I'm getting ready to mount the computer for my Gen 3 Coyote on the firewall. I'm going to have to relocate the engine harness to reach. Looks like I can get an extension for the MAF easy enough. But it looks like where it attaches at the front (not sure what that first plug is) is keeping me from being able to just pull it back to the back. Looks like all of the others have a bit of room. Do I just need to unwrap the thing and hope that one section isn't tied in too tight so I can move the rest? Or is there another trick that I'm just not seeing at this point?

Doing the same right now. Mounted the computer essentially mid firewall behind the coyote. There are 3 connectors that I found I have to lengthen to reach.

you need to lengthen TPS, ground lug and intake VCT solenoid.

The intake VCT solenoid is what I was wondering about. I found an extension already for the TPS. The ground lug is easy enough. I was wondering how to extend the VCT solenoid one? I know some of these things are sensitive so I wanted to make sure I wasn't messing anything up. How have others lengthened it? I haven't seen an extension that I could just buy for it. Don't want to cut into it if it is sensitive to wire length.

I've also been thinking about this location over top of the passenger side header. It looks like it is a similar spot to where they put it on the roadster. So I assume the heat isn't too big of an issue there. And I can make a bracket easy enough to mount it there which would provide more heat protection. Anyone try this spot before?

I cut both the TPS and VCT wiring and lengthened both, solder and heat shrink.

Great, thanks for the information...

Bluemont, that’s where I mounted mine. Works well and all wiring reaches. Since you ask if this has been done before, I assume you haven’t seen the Edwardb coupe build thread. It has been the holy grail of my build. Basically a supplemental instruction manual. Good luck!

I too have done this several times on coupes and now on my MMKV.
