View Full Version : Need a source for the 2" footbox foam

Anybody got a source for that 2" square weather striping adhesive foam for the sides of the foot boxes? It's getting toasty in the cockpit and I can't find it anywhere. FFR gives 1" foam and that's not gonna cut it.
if you mean the foam between the foot boxes and the body, I used this. no heat issues

Chuck the whole package of that sticky gooey stuff that FFR supplies into the nearest trash can then run down to your local Lowes, Home Depot or hardware store and pick up a package of 2 1/4" window air conditioner insulating foam and a can of 3M Super 77 spray contact cement.

I apply it to the footbox sides as shown before installing the bodies. Unlike the pool noodles that some recommend when it's compressed and springs back it doesn't apply enough pressure to affect the body shape...but it'll fill the voids and stop the hot air from coming in.

UGH, I was searching for 2 inch, not 2.25". That's probably why I wasn't finding it.
