Had to modify my fuel tank to accept the Holly Lidar fuel sender. I had to create a 1 inch hole in a different place than the stock sender and of course I could not avoid getting metal shavings into the tank. Also need to deburr the inside of the hole that I made and can’t seem to figure out a trick with any of the files that I have to get that done. Any ideas? Tank has never seen fuel.

vacuum the chips and buy a quick-burr on amazon or similar.

You can remove any residual metal chips by rolling a couple of magnets around inside the tank.

I had to modify the opening for my pickup. I made the cuts I needed to then used a garden hose and rinsed it. I also wanted to test the tanks for leaks, so maybe overkill. After throughly rinsing out the tank and draining it then swished some rubbing alcohol followed by using a heat gun to dry it out.

There was no evidence of debris after that.
