Friends,

We're working on flywheel installation on our gen 3 Coyote and TKX. I'm writing for clarification on part number for replacing the pilot bearing.

We're using the Ford M-7560-T46 clutch, the instructions for which state that you need pilot bearing part # FRPP# M-7600-A (5.0L) or FRPP #M-7600-B (4.6L). I'm going Coyote so based on that, it looks like I need the A version.

All good except the webpage for M-7600-A states it's for "production roller pilot bearing fits 289, 302, 351C and 351W crankshafts, designed for .669 diameter input shaft". That's in contrast to the webpage M-7600-B, which says it's for "production roller pilot bearing fits 4.6L/5.4L and 5.0L 4V TiVCT modular engines". I can't find what kind of crankshaft Coyote uses and whether A would work, but the B description seems to very specifically say it's for the 5.0L modular engne, so Coyote.

The webpages are here, for anyone who wants to take a look:

Page for the A version: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-7600-A
Page for the B version: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-7600-B

Which do I need?

Thanks!
ST

Another choice that worked for me. Per my build notes for my Gen 3 Coupe with a Gen 3 Coyote, I bought and installed a Ford Performance M-7600-C pilot bearing. Fits perfectly and has been on the road for four seasons now. Not sure where I came up with that part number since Factory Five still doesn't reference a pilot (or thrust as they call it) bearing replacement required for the Gen 3. And I assume for the Gen 4.

Thank you as always, Edward. Your response also confirms that the B option will fit - per the Ford website, the C option is the same as B, just higher performance.

Thanks again!
