I have ordered a Daytona Coupe kit and am expecting delivery mid-January.
It will be fitted with a just finished 351W based 393 stroker engine and I need to select an intake manifold for a Holley 7150.
My first choice would be a single plane air gap style but I am concerned about hood clearance issues.
The rotating assembly for the engine was balanced to within 0.5 grams, so using dropped solid engine mounts should not create a vibration issue.
I realize that the engine mount configuration will also affect the vertical alignment of the exhaust system relative to the body. I did buy the Factory Five stainless headers.
The oil pan I purchased as a result of my previous thread is a Champ CP351LT-RR. I was guided to this pan by Mike Forte. It fit the engine beautifully and is very shallow.
Any advice regarding intake manifold/air filter/engine mount related hood clearance issues would be greatly appreciated.
