I was really excited about my door set up, leaving the final gaping to a pro, but the door latch post on passenger side leaves the door hanging open about 1/4 inch. Curious if this is common with the new latches or not. Best solution looks like welding an extension on, not really a fan of the bolt on solution. Any other creative solutions, I did the carpet so a bit more delicate operation is required.

you can try slotting it some more to see if that helps. If not your only option is to weld or bolt on an extension.

I’ve had to make longer (bolt on) tabs for the passenger side. Driver’s side is the opposite since the body has to be pulled outward to meet the door.

Does yours look like this? I thought FFR extended them already?

My Measurements the same. Looks like easiest path is to open the slot and probably tack on a piece of metal to close the end as required, grind to shape, serve painted!

Interesting... just one more thing to "customize."

The difference between “building” and “assembling”.

"Building" is the part I enjoy!

Lance, I had to do the exact same thing. I opened up the hole. If I recall I used half of what was availble, but being it is a fiberglass door, I dont think I'll be slamming it shut that often.

I fabricated an offset like this. It also allows some adjustability if needed after disassembly and paint.
