I'm excited to have received my confirmation on a Jan 11 build date for the Mk5. I'm looking forward to joining the FFR family of builders of this timeless vehicle design. Many thanks to "edwardb" for letting my dip into his experience of building cars, helping me figure out how to make this journey as enjoyable as possible.

Please if you do nothing else, get the take a pic w/ your cell phone, bluetooth it to your PC, tablet or however you usually browse the forum, and upload it to here. I happen to be old school and use a desktop to check forums but I know a lot of people do it all on their phone. Whatever you use, get the process down to <5min and you will be making a lot of us happy to watch your progress and see the first pics of a MAJOR step in FFR roadsters.

I am right there with you and completed my MK5 order today. I also heard that FFR Coyote Gen4 headers are on the way and expected to be ready to ship by the end of Jan.

Congratulations! We briefly debated the Mk4 v Mk5 and are excited & apprehensive to be embarking on our journey with a Mk5! Order placed on 19 December.

I did order a complete kit.

The order form was a private link sent to early MK5 adopters with the ask not to share. I wouldn't want to steal FFRs thunder on announcing the new platform, options, or pricing which I imagine will be rolled out any day on their website. I will say that they did a good job of balancing out the increased base price with options. I kept a pricing spreadsheet of my MK4 build from last October, and was happy to stay within $800 building the same relative car without feeling like I gave up anything to stay within my budget.

Another Michigan builder, I'm from Grosse Ile. i am half way through a MK4 build. Received my kit July 2023.
