I didn’t have any issues with the trans mount aligning with the A frame last time, but this time the holes are about 1/8” off after manually pushing the tail shaft as much as I can towards the drivers side, so can’t secure with the bolts. I thought you could flip the A frame over but that doesn’t look to be an option as it’s only meant to go one way. Mounts are on the correct side and engine is fully seated with tabs in place.

I thought about hooking the engine back up to the lift and maybe pushing it over a bit if that’s possible. FFR said that I needed the poly trans mount adapter to shift the mounting position. I said I thought that was only for the Coyote setup but they said it would work anyway. Anyone use that adapter with the 351W/TKX combo? They sent me one out that will be here on Sunday.

Seems like you could get an 1/8" of play if you loosened the motor mounts, and perhaps (like I did), use a ratchet strap on the tail end of the tranny to draw it to the driver's side.

Are you sure the engine mounts are fully seated in the frame mounts and the pins are down in the slots? I had to use a C-clamp to get my motor mounts in the correct position and the engine level.

Thanks Mike. My passenger side went right in and had to loosen the mount on the drivers side and tapped in with a piece of wood. Both pegs snapped in and are seated.

I'd be thinking about running a drill bit through the holes. 1/16" off the mount holes and 1/16" off the A-frame holes and in go the bolts.

Thanks Craig. I almost got to that point but went ahead and hooked up the crane, lifted the engine about an inch, lifted the transmission with my jack slightly, and had my son pull the tail shaft to the drivers side while I lowered the engine back down. Worked like a champ!

Excellent technique!
