Oil Pan for 351W

I have ordered a basic Daytona Coupe kit and am expecting to receive it mid-January.

I am building a 351W based engine for it and am curious what oil pan works best.

I would appreciate any guidance on this issue.

Forte's Parts Connection is a vender on the forum. He supplies engines. I bought my 351 based engine from him. I told him what car I was building and he knew which pan to use. Give him a call. he will gladly let you know and will probably have one to sell you. Mike Forte 508-875-0016

I've had luck using Kevko pans. Quality pans and less than some of the other racing pans.

Please consider is getting a baffled pan that is a Rear Sump design if possible.
There is a reason why the Fox Body Mustangs, that sported the 302 engines, had a rear sump.
The G-Forces our cars can pull during acceleration, turning and even braking can be rather high.
Oil Starvation is something that you need to avoid if you plan to do any significantly spirited driving.
Also, please try to set your car up to be as serviceable as possible since you'll be the primary mechanic.

NOTE:..A rear sump pan can make the engine installation a bit easier since it doesn't hang down as much as a front sump style pan.

I have a Champ rear sump, trap door baffled pan with a built in windage tray. It fits nicely ony 351w based engine. You're going to need drop motor mounts to use a decent intake. This pan stays above the chassis tubes even with drop mounts.
