View Full Version : Intatrim seats feedback
To those of you who have installed Intatrim seats, how are they holding up? Are you still happy with their quality? I think their construction is different than most (i.e. fiberglass shell vs FFR's metal tubular frame seats or Kirkey's aluminum shell), although I think the Lotus Elise seats were constructed similarly. Anyway, interested in your thoughts. Thanks.

Bit of an older post but I’m in the same boat and interested to know if they’re comfortable.
My FFR high backs are just not doing it for me but not a lot of info on the comfort level of the Intatrim Stoneleigh 3
They’re super nice looking and offer the head support I’m after but given the $ investment, I’d like to know if they’re any more coming

I only have 600 miles on mine. So far they have held up fine. The sides have a little flex in them but I find the backs and head rest very comfortable. I bottom cushion is ok but I think I may have them re done. I want more (maybe better?) padding in the seat. They sit quite low so that the added height won't be a problem.

I'm curious about those seats as well. Really looks like you can gain an inch or 2 in the area between your back and the rear wall vs. the stock FFR seats? Would love opinions from those that have them

I think you have to be selective on the seats that you choose. It's easy to just like the design or pattern and run with it. I couldn't be happier with the Challenger seats that I have. The build quality and design are awesome. That said, if I was a larger/wider dude, it may not have turned out like that as the seats are very form fitting. Much more so than the FFR seats as you kind of slide around in those a bit. With these, your butt doesn't move. Work well for me but might not for others so pay attention to the dimensions.
Jury is still out on how they hold up long term, but I don't have any reason to believe that they won't. You also have to keep in mind how few miles these cars typically get annually.

What did you end up doing about mounting?
Did you use the FFR sliders, the Intatrim ones or?
Appreciate it!

Curious as with my question to Blitzboy54 as well. I’m just about to order these and was hoping to determine whether to get the Intatrim sliders or try to reuse what’s under mine. Not sure what they look like or whether it’s possible/logical.

I used the Breeze angled seat mounts and just redrilled the holes. Very easy to do.

Any of you users get the heat or inflatable lumbar option?
They said they have an unlisted option for inflatable lumbar. Same ones used in the Lotus.
Also front corner of these seats look like they may have a bit more there than the FFR seats. Anyone install these that have the ebrake down on the passenger side trans tunnel. Looks like it might be close

Do you have any pics?
Last time I spoke to Mark he mentioned the mounts would not fit the Stoneleighs. Pretty sure I saw a thread somewhere here where a guy had one sitting on the Breeze Mount. Can’t seem to locate that thread though.
Did you use sliders as well as the Breeze Mounts?

I used the Breeze mounts with the Stonesleighs. No issues.
Here's the best and only photo I have.

Thanks
Did you find this to be a comfortable position and not too leaned back?
Also, did you use sliders?
I was thinking of adding sliders between the bottom and top plate of the breeze mounts. I like Marks mounts as they look cleaner and more purposeful. My thinking this way it slides straight forward and back but I haven’t seen anyone do that with the Breeze mount yet.
My wife is 5’-nothing so needs the slider. :)
Thanks

You won't be able to put sliders between the two parts of the Breeze mounts, but might be able to do sliders between the Breeze mount and the floor, not that I would recommend that.
Thanks

Doc - I thought about sliders, but ultimately decided against them after fitting the seats and finding that a single position worked well for me and our sons (presumably my wife too, but she's unlikely to drive). The seats sit all the way back against the bulkhead.
I placed a 1/4 spacer between the seat and the rear of the Breeze mount to reduce the recline a bit. Time will tell if this was a good decision, but it's easily reversible. One note -- I think you really need to strap yourself in to get an accurate feel for the seat.
