Anybody got any tips or suggestions for how to get that mirror up off the body and onto the top of the windshield? I've got some ideas but I feel like there's cleaner ways to do it. Thanks everyone.

Easy enough, I made a small bracket out of flat AL and put a slight bend into it. Mount the mirror to one side and then mount the other side to the to slot in the windshield with square nuts. I countersunk the screws so it is flat with the bracket. Give me a minute and I'll get a photo for you.

There are some options from etsy, or you could make something similar yourself.

I used this one, very nice looking billet mirror. A little on the small side but it is functional. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsp-73520

Mounting it to the windshield proved challenging due to the rake. I ended up making this little piece to overcome it, 3D printed of course:)

If I recall, a #6 square nut is the largest you'll be able to get into the channel without grinding it down

I used what I had on hand. Ground down two sides and beveled some 10-32 nuts to fit.

I took the same approach but didn't bend the bracket
