We did have one a while ago that the welding team named Hal. It was helping with things like door frames. However, we got rid of the welding robot to help make room for the flat steel and aluminum laser cutter.

interesting, sounds like you have had a bad experience with the robot. Just for curiosity, what was the brand name of the robot, if you know? Did any of your welder or engineers know how to program the robot,? Do you employ manufacturing technicians / engineers?

Have you reached out to the community college (Massasoit Community College, Cape Cod Community College, Quinebaug Valley) to see if they have a manufacturing welding fabrication program.
