Forum team,
I’m working on the light wiring endpoints. My rear light wire looms are under the trunk floor, above the fuel tank. For the license plate light I pulled up through the trunk floor by the rear passenger roll bar post.

Questions-
1)It looks like the tail lights mount about 5” outside the aluminum trunk verticals so should the wires route somewhere like this?206829

2)I’d like to use Painless Performance Weatherpack connectors for ez removal for light repair and body removal (painter). The tail light mount location center hole is barely big enough for the wires. Do I just enlarge that hole for a 4 pin connector to fit through?

What are y’all doing with this?

3)Same as above for the fronts. But in front the hole will allow 2 pin connectors to fit through, not 4 pin. Do folks enlarge that hole as well?

So far I haven’t altered the body at all so I’m just a bit cautious.
Thanks y’all

Open up the holes to get the connectors through. The lamps will cover them.

Thanks Jeff, is that where the tail light wires end up-outside the trunk side-vertical?
