Hey everyone!! Next Question lol

What di you use to eliminate the print on the aluminum panels from factory five vendor? Or do i have to sand it off?

Thankyou

I would think acetone or lacquer thinner would remove them.

Acetone or lacquer thinner ASAP. If you don’t do it right away the natural occurring oxidation on the aluminum will not be present under the ink when you remove the marking and its shadow will remain. The longer it’s on the more apparent it will be. Same if you use a Sharpie on the aluminum.

I used denatured alcohol very effectively on my panels.

If yours are older and oxidized you could also go out and get alumaprep

Yup on Jeff's comment on ASAP removal. I haven't and it takes a lot of work to make the panels look good again. ScotchBrite is your friend.

Historically, this group has been very good at spending other people's money. In that spirit, I'd suggest having your panels powder coated. That will certainly get rid of any extraneous markings.

That's a good idea!!! I used scotchbrite on my overhang of my dash.
