hey kids! the rear anti sway bar appears to be much wider where it is supposed to attach to the lower A arm...I am not seeing how I am going to bolt the male rod end to the sway bar...Thoughts?206391

Is the bar centered correctly? It fits unless you got an odd sized one. Shift it down?

Here's how mine looks. Or did. I removed the sway bar after I installed it. I felt like was making an independent rear suspension less independent with it installed. As danmas said, you sure you have it centered? Is it that tight on the passenger side? Suspension loaded or at full droop while trying to install it? Mine is at full droop in this pic. Also, you sure you're not putting the front sway bar on the rear?

thank for the responses...both swaybars I received are exactly the same. That was my first check, to see if they differed. They do not. Yes, it is centered. Interesting Greg, that you felt the bar less independent. Did the ride improve noticeable after removal? oh, and the frame is up on stands. The suspension is unloaded...

I haven't driven mine yet, but I did quite a bit of research on the subject. While the rear sway bar no doubt improves cornering, I figure it comes at the expense of ride quality. Knowing I'll not likely track my car, I elected to remove it. I left the mounts on the car, so if I ever want to put it back on, it's a 10 minute affair.

Not really, has very little effect on ride quality

Good to know. Easy enough to test it when I get it on the road.

BTW, I just measured my rear sway bar from tip to tip. 38.75" from outside face to outside face. Is that what yours is?

The fact that the suspension is unloaded and drooping is your problem. If you jack up the control arms so they are parallel with the ground the sway bar should bolt right up. I had the same exact issue.
