I am working on the fitment of my hood. Everywhere fits pretty flush, but the driver side corner sticks up above the body. I put the latches at 13 inches from center, but it is still high in that corner. Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

put one of the large rubber bumpers in the center top near the windshield then use the hood latches to pull it down. You can also over adjust to force it down more and leave it like that until the hood forms to the correct shape.

I never liked my seams from the beginning (MKI/II) and when I did my frame off, I corrected a lot. My hood was similar and here's a sample of some of the work I did to remedy that look. There's more to do, but this will give you an idea. You have to do the underside as well, and since you're in the beginning stages, I'd fix it now.

Per Mike's technique, I know this isn't the best time of year for it, but setting the car in the warm sun can really help the fiberglass take on a better shape.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping with a little persuasion and time I would be able to get it to take shape. I'll give that a try.

The only problem with that is when the cold returns, it'll take the shape it started with because there's no heat to relax it.
