The Coupe is a fine ride, but the exhaust is noisy for driving regularly. Looking for some way to quiet it down some without changing the looks. Any ideas??

Thanks, Rich

You can ads small mufflers or cats between the engine and side pipes. I'm still trying to get this done on my coupe but so far have just managed to collect the parts and I'm waiting for a freind that's going to do the welding.

I was hoping that there was an easier way. Thanks for the reply.

Would you share the info for the pieces you have? I may have to go that route too.

Thanks, Rich

During one of it's variations FFR's silver "Champ Car" Coupe (one of the coolest ever, may it rest in peace) incorporated a crossover in front of the engine. It gave it a very unique sound as well as quieting it to some extent. Maybe Jim or one of the guys has some old photos &/or info.

As an audiologist I plan on wearing hearing protection, even the little foam plugs will do the trick. I have a set of pipes from Raptor racing and they claim they will be a little quieter and sound better than the FFR pipes. I don't have them on yet so who knows.....

If someone would let me know whether it's cool to link to the 'other' site I've got a link to a thread with pictures of a crossover and mufflers in front of the engine.

T, I have a set of mustang shorty headers, some nice vette cats and another set of coupe sidepipes, I just need my friend to help me connet the three pieces. It will invole a bit of work but nothing a good welder and a few parts can't fix!:-)

The Raptor pipes are definitely a lot quieter
