Chassis Dolly/Jack Stand Positioning for Build

I assume this has been covered before but I haven't been able to find this info via forum searches. My kit arrived yesterday (Yaaaay!!). Transport driver placed it on the dolly I built and we moved it into my shop. This morning I noticed that it's position at the very rear of the 4" tubes. Looking for guidance on the best positioning for the build so it doesn't end up in the way. I have read that the rear of the car can get heavy as the IRS is added so I'm guessing it should be more rearward, but maybe not quite this far? Will try to attach photos.

SB fine in the rear. You do want it towards the back with the IRS until the motor is in. The front though may hit the oil pan. Hard to tell from the pics.

Thanks. Will probably take it off the dolly and on to stands at the engine stage.

Any idea why those photos flipped. Read the stickys and don't see anyting on that. Upload went smooth and easy but unclear why the photos flipped sideways

I won't bore with the technical babble but it has to do with the way your phone processes pictures. The simple solution is to open them in Paint on your computer and do a Save As to jpg to your hard drive. This will sort out the rotation issue.

Don't know if these are helpful, but this is how mine sat on the dolly, I used those same wheels. I will say with all the suspension, rear end and brakes installed, it was a bit heavy to wheel around. I strapped mine to the dolly with a ratchet strap...had a near miss rolling around in my shop with all the weight. As soon as I had my suspension and brakes on it, I put my wheels and tires on it, and removed the dolly entirely. It was a bit tricky to get it off the dolly. Mine was fairly tall.

I think you're fine, as with the IRS installed (and not the engine) the chassis will be much heavier in the rear. Initially I had my dolly further forward on the chassis and after installing the IRS I discovered, by accident, that I could lift the front end off the dolly with one finger. Scary what might happened with me under the car. I repositioned it right away, moving the dolly further back on the chassis similar to how yours is now. This worked fine until I was ready to install the engine/trans at which point I switched to jack stands.

Thanks. Will try that. Dave (administrator) thought it was because of the size, resize to below 2000 x 2000. Haven't test that yet though.

Once I got the engine it, I just went to jack stands anyways (or the wheels), the added weight makes a homemade dolly risky and harder to move around (which is the whole point), and honestly, even with a very tight garage, I haven't missed it much.

I found the easiest solution for me was to simply take my pics with my phone rotated 90 degrees, so all the pics are natively landscape. Never had an issue after that.
