Well I put my own foot in my mouth. I went to get my car registered several weeks ago now at my trusty 3rd party DMV, even they couldn’t get it registered. The state wasn’t going to do it as anything but ASPT. No thank you.
Went the Montana route, super easy. The FFR number is the VIN and it’s registered as a 1965 replica.
Eventually I’ll transfer it to Florida plates. No this isn’t illegal. And no insurance doesn’t care, it’s all about where it’s garaged and driven.
