Hey All -

Last thing I need to consider is going from 3 brake lines in the M/C to 2 brake lines in the M/C. What should I do with this?

TIA,

Mark

The 3 port master was originally used with the shuttle/proportioning valve. The rearmost port and the bottom port are common and for the front. The front port is for the rear (I know, doesn't make sense). Is the valve still in place? What is your current configuration front and rear? What are you changing to? I think I recall that you're going from drums to discs in back but please confirm. Answer these and we can more easily help you sort it out but long story short you're going to have to make some brake line plumbing revisions.

Thanks Jeff! I somewhat assumed that would be the case. I am going from a 93 M/C manual brakes, no pedal mod with disc/drum to a 93 Booster, 95 M/C and rear disc brake kit from FFR.

Here is what I have.

The simple answer would be to connect the rear port in the master cylinder with a T to the two front brake lines. The front port in the master connects to the rear brake line.
Where I live we are required to have the shuttle valve in the system for certification. The shuttle valves are different between disc/drum and disc/disc brakes. Your 87-93 valve is not safe to use with rear disc brakes. Get one for a 94 or 95 mustang if you intend to use one.
Theses shuttle valves also contain a proportioning valve to reduce rear brake pressure. This component is different between the V6 and V8 cars but, that doesn’t matter as much because it is normally deleted when the valve is used in a roadster. There is a delete plug available from LMR for this purpose.

So, does Mark Breeze have a kit with the Tee and M12 to M10's and vice versa for the 93 M/C to the 95 M/C? I won't have time to call him until tomorrow, but I didn't see anything on his site. If not, is it a DIY or is there another suppliers that have something like this?

I wasn't going to use a proportioning value from what Jeff had stated in an earlier post.

Thanks once again Jeff!! I was looking for something completely different. My way would have been like my plumbing, at least 3 trips to the Hardware Store!
