Elephant ears timing question

Looking for feedback for when to install the elephant ears? I’ve got the body on, fitted and adjusted. Exhaust hangers are also mounted. Vehicle heading to Jeff Kleiner this winter but I’m hoping to get some driving in this fall. Is it worthwhile or necessary to fit/mount them before they go to Jeff for body/paint? I won’t use silicone to install but just rivet and trim if needed. Thanks for any advice.

Up to you. Jeff will install them once body’s back on. Just make it easy for him to remove them

Install them. If you don't, you will throw all the road grim directly on your headers and fronts of the side pipe. If you have a finish on the foot box, it will get damaged

Put them on for the reasons Rich said. And just rivet them on dry for the reason Chewy said.
