My plan all along has been to order a MK4 complete kit + all new IRS + Forte sourced Coyote Gen4x/TKX and I am about 3 weeks from ordering. Last night I was presented with the option of purchasing a garage queen 2008 Mustang GT w 30k miles for $18k.

I have 2 questions:
1. What issues/limitations would I run into trying to use a 2008 GT as a donor / is that even a viable option?
2. As best as I can tell that is a decent price and I might be able to get it down to $15k, but I would appreciate any constructive advice from experienced builders …would I be better off just going with a new crate engine?

Thanks

A. It is not a viable donor and virtually nothing would work.
B. 18K, or even 15K, is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a car that would net no usable parts.

Thanks Jeff. That is the type of reality check I was looking for. I appreciate it.
