Put my down payment on a Mark IV Base Kit yesterday. Awesome! :)
After reading some other threads about the Winter Sale I just couldn't resist any longer. I know I'm weak. Can't help myself. I love HP, V8's, gorgeous cars and all things mechanical. Decided there will never be the right time, enough money, or better reason to start a dream.

My build is from a Base Kit non-donor. Going with a Levy 5 Link, 17" Halibrands, Fast Freddy's Power steering, Forte's Wilwood pedal box w/hydroboost kit , heat/air, wipers, (figure I can extend driving season up here in New England), FF5 Wilwood big brakes, Fox width 8.8 rear from Forte, Competition seats, Smith gauges, Chrome roll bars. Breeze gas tank package. Have to save a little more for the power train but planning one of Forte's 302 Ford crate motor packages. Maybe even a stroker if I can afford it.

As you can tell from my build plan I've spent way too much time getting build ideas from this forum LOL

Congrats. It is an amazing journey and you will have the time of your life. The guys on this forum are a great source of knowledge and friendship, as you know judging from your build plan. Where's Milford in relation to Portsmouth. I lived there 6th, 7th and 8th Grade. Loved it. Nick C

Thanks NICK C , Milford is about an hour southwest of Portsmouth. Just 6 miles west of Nashua.

Did they give you a delivery date? Just curious on how long it will take. I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger.

I placed my order 1/27/12 and was told March 10 as a completion date. I'm fortunate to be close enough to pick it up at Factory 5 but you'll have to add another week or two for delivery by truck to the west coast .

Good luck!

Congratulations - I'm just taking a break from working on the coolant plumbing (lower radiator hose, today) to take a look at what's happening here on the forum. Enjoy the anticipation of delivery day and the build journey. Sounds like you have a nice car planned. I picked mine up at the factory and it was worth every minute of the roundtrip drive - all the better that you're so close.

Good luck with your build. It sounds like you have a great build plan. You may want to consider seat heaters to go along with the heater.

Thanks Jeff ! Yup seat heaters, extra 12 V outlets for heated vests from our Motorcycling days. Soft top for extending the driving season. After awhile I stopped putting stuff in the build sheet plan. Scared the H*ll out of my budget ;)

Tom - Don't overlook the classifieds here and at ffcars for things like the soft top, tonneau, and other accessories. I bought those and some other mid-project things (polished bumpers and hoops, etc...) by prowling those forums and getting some wicked good deals from guys who bought the parts but never installed them - I'm talking like 1/2 price on most.
