This is my first post.
I have been gathering valuable information and guidance through everyone's posts. Thank you!!
I am building a Mk4 Roadster complete kit with blueprint 302 engine.
I am nearing the stage of installing the engine and wondering if there are any members near Bloomfield Michigan that can give me advice/ help me and or give me a contact of someone that can help me with this step.

Thank you

there are many posts on this forum and the other that go over the process.
here's my 2sec synopsis
-have a 2 ton hoist available. a 1 ton can work but likely won't give you the length necessary even when fully extended.
-jack up the rear as high as possible. allows for easier angle of entry for the transmission into the tunnel
-having a friend help guide transmission in helps
-make sure your frame in the front is high enough to get the legs of your hoist underneath
-you can have the headers on if using shorties, but will need to keep them off if using long/straight tube headers
-have a leveler which will help adjust your angle as you insert it. lube up the threads w/ some grease
-make sure your engine mounts are on the correct side

This is one of the easier parts of the build. But below are some pictures of my BPE 302 when I installed it. Follow egchewy's list and you'll be alight. I also live in Ypsilanti MI so not far from you if you want to message me for more questions.

I had two people help (My brother and law and another buddy of mine). The install took less then an hour.

If you have a hydraulic engine lift and a balance bar engine lift (I got mine at Harbor Freight) one person can easily set the engine and transmission in place.
