Hello - I am curious if anyone has had any recent success obtaining a Russ Thompson turn signal unit from the above? I know they have had a backlog of orders and I have seen some responses on the forums from them but I haven't had any luck in the last three weeks getting any kind of response.

My intent is not to bash them but rather understand if I should be looking another direction (which I would prefer not to). My kit doesn't arrive for two more months but I have been working hard to secure some of the harder to find/obtain items and this happens to be one of them. I am hoping they are able to continue to meet demand and will keep my fingers crossed.

On a last note, I am not quite clear on the vendor/forum rules and I hope I have not violated any by posting their name as I am not sure if they are a sponsor or not - I believe Russ was.

I assume you tried tj@mountain-metalworks.com, and his number, 505-545-2930? I bought my drop trunk from him about a year ago, and found him to be responsive to both email and phone when I ordered. Maybe he's on vacation? Dunno. I don't see him listed on the vendor page, but we all know who he is.

I ended up reaching out to Frank, i.e.427, and bought the turn signal and drop trunk from him. He has a very nice unit available. Same as the Russ Thompson, you have to send in your steering hub for them to machine and put together. Only a few week turn around.

I received 2 a couple of weeks ago. Took forever and very little communication. Ordered them back in April or May.

Pretty frustrating. I really prefer the Russ Thompson style but I haven't heard anything from TJ in months, and I'm not down for 6 months waiting to maybe-maybe not get what I ordered.

Anyone else building the RT signal?

I appreciate that, both of you. However, some people just don't like our offering. And that's OK.
