Hey All,
Just finishing my wiring and wanting to keep a step or two ahead of my todo list ...
Is Dynamat the best product for insulation?
Also, is it worth doing the trunk as well as the cockpit?
Thanks!

I used Thermo-Tec COOL IT for heat and sound, and quite a few folks do. Others spray the interior with Lizard Skin. Both seem to work well. I got the Thermo-Tec on Amazon...about $70/roll, and I've used 3. I'll need probably 2 more for the trunk area.

I also used Thermo-Tec cool it on both of my builds.

I don't think there's a "best". Dynamat is as good as any alternative. Personally, I'd do (and did) sound insulation in both the cockpit and trunk to cut down on the droning and tinny-sounding aluminum panels, and heat insulation in the cockpit (particularly the footboxes). Also pay close attention to sealing up the gap between the body and footboxes by the windshield pillars. That's a prime source of engine compartment heat flowing into the cockpit.

I used Kilmat. cheaper product but have no basis of comparison to any other products. Seems to work pretty good from my experience.

I'm waiting until after I'm done with the bodywork because I'm making a mess with the dust despite my best efforts. But, it seems everything possible has been used and in allot of cases whatever someone has worked with is the best. I have a bunch of some super duper dynamat brand stuff that I got off amazon for when the time comes. Intend to use the carpet pieces as templates.

Thanks guys, you all make sense, and I appreciate it.
I am going and try and post some pictures this weekend ... and update the "build thead" that I promised myself I would do
