The Mott CC build school instructor gave us a dimension from the top center of the windshield down to the tunnel top to attain the correct angle. What is that dimension and angle?
I also discovered the license plate bracket once mounted will not allow a plate to fit between the bracket and the trunk handle. This was mentioned at the build school. Any fixes out there besides notching the plate.
On another note I just had mine painted by a friend in Alabama with a backyard shop and an awesome paint booth. Anyone in the southeast may want to check him out as he he did a great job for a reasonable price.
I also have a buck on wheels free for the taking. I live in Virginia Beach.

You can see how I dealt with the license plate issue without cutting it in post # 58 & 59 of my Mk4 body and paint thread.

Thanks Jeff. They touched on that method at the school and by your pics it works good. That's what I'll do as opposed to cutting the plate. what angle is your windshield at? Did you measure from the tunnel or use an angle finder on the windshield?
Thanks again..................tom

I didn't build either car with the intention of putting a soft top on so wasn't real concerned with setting the windshields at a specific angle. For what it's worth I just checked and my Mk3 is at 49 degrees measured along the leading edge of the side post.

if you go to F5R site they have a video of there new soft top
it shows a template put behind the door on the rear of body and using this point measure forward up to the center of the top windscreen screw i believe its 27"
i roughly did mine and it was 27.5 on the pass. and 28.5 on the drivers
i believe i put my windscreen at 52* and this is a mk3.1
