Leather Supplier Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a leather supplier that you have had a good experience with? An internet search turns up a wide variety of prices and styles.
A forum search showed quite a few had bought off of Ebay, but most of those links were dead.

I am wanting to cover the dash and transmission tunnel cover, and hopefully have enough left over for door cards.

I had good luck with leatherhidestore.com. I got a 1/2 cowhide in black pebble and was able to squeak out both the dash and the tranny cover. I’ll need to order another 1/2 hide for door panels. Photos in my build thread. Their site has a large gallery of customer photos under automotive, so they appear to have traction with the customs crowd.

Have you considered vinyl? There are a lot of nice vinyls, like MB-TEX that's used by (created by?) Mercedes. Almost indestructible and hard to distinguish from leather.

Hey Terry, do you have any experience with MB-TEX? Does it install like leather? Looks like the price is significantly less than leather.

I'm using synthetic leather, similar to MB tex. I also had my material sourced by a local upholsterer. It'll age much better than regular leather, esp in an open top car. had my upholsterer do the dash, trans tunnel cover and seats. got extra material to send to Herb for the door cards.204417204416204415
