Quick steering question

I’m going to be putting a switch on my electric steering. Turning it off on highway. Is it ok to interrupt the ground or do I have to interrupt power?

Better to switch the 12 volts off.
I also added a switch to the 12 v supply, it makes a noticeable difference when driving slow.
