I'm trying to save some $ and do my own hydraulic clutch external slave cylinder set up. Looking at CNC & Speedway units, running $25-75, and having a Lakewood bell housing and TKO600, this looks doable. It appears a pull slave cylinder would go right in, maybe requiring a short extension on the Fork.

Has anyone tried this, or a push set up? Again, I'm trying to save the hundred plus over other set ups.

Thanks!

I have that pull setup on mine. i have lakewood Bellhousing. I got it from Mike Forte. He has switched to push design but I have had no issues with mine. the cylinder ram fits thru cable hole. It has a bushing with clip to keep it from sliding forward. not really an issue unless the arm came unhooked. It has adjustable threaded rod that hooks to clutch fork. With lakewood it did require and extension that is bolted to stock clutch fork. I used stainless flexible line (it is actually lines for i/o unit on boat for rams for tilt) I even incorporated a brake pressure switch for safety lock to start. Have it hooked in parallel with nuetral switch on trans so either in nuetral or clutch in.

I originally looked at push type but to clear lakewood bell housing it stuck out to far.

Good to know about the push issue on the Lakewood! There are bracket set ups I have seen that bolt to the TKO-bellhousing mounts...but now I think I'll pass on those.

For the pull set up, I know everyone likes that set up from Forte. It's just more than I can spend given the recent life curveballs, and I don't feel like waiting if I can come up with my own more cheaply. I wish I knew the specifications for that pull slave, or where to source it...

THANKS!

I will look closer at mine and take some pics for you if I get a chance. I think it is just standard 7/8 bore pull slave.
