Not a fan of the FFR logo in the mats.
After local quotes of upwards of $700 for a set (CAD so for our neighbors to the south that’s ~$1000 USD), looking for possible alternatives
Looking for a source on some nice fitting mats WITHOUT any logos.
Anybody care to share?

Get some universal car mats and cut them to shape. Job done. Even with the FFR mats I had to do this, as being RHD, the foot box shape of my car did not match the mats.
5 years later, still holding up nicely.
Cheers,
Nige

Those are very interesting. I would def be willing to try them.
I agree with Nigel, bought some thick rubber mats from WallyWorld and cut them to size

I have always thought that the mats were dangerous. They had a tendancy to roll up under my feet while driving and the footbox is so tight that it could be problematic. So instead, I made a cardboard template and cut mats out a sheet of aluminum diamond-plate. It just lays in on it's own. Doesn't move, and actually allows my heels to slide forward and back slightly as I work the pedals.

I have had custom ones made previously by going direct to the carpet store and getting a small roll / drop. Cutting them to my desired shape, then returning to the carpet store or local upholsterer and had them bind the edges. Fairly affordable. I had a 1994 Q45 where I did just that. That car was so poorly sold parts just didn't exist and had to get creative. Mats were no exception. Best of luck!

I tried to order a set today. Don’t ship to Canada nor will they let me ship to drop box because their system doesn’t let you choose a Canadian billing address. Super inconvenient.
I’m gonna try to get my Uncle in Seattle to ship them to me.
If you end up with a set before me, post results please. I’ll do the same

Agree with Wehr. I had a set from F5, but it kept moving as I got in the car and slide towards the pedals. Have one on the passenger side, but the driver side was removed. Like the plate idea. Maybe if I need to replace the carpet at one point I will make a plate.

x2 on the diamond plate. I use it on the drivers side for easy clutch operation. For the passenger side I saved a pair of the Cobra mats that another website used to sell, but no longer available.

I had trouble with the mats moving forward and bunching up under my feet and the pedals. I cut the drivers side down for half to fit in the bottom of the foot box and had edging sewn around the edges and put these retainers in the bottom piece. They work perfectly and the mat never moved again. a twist of the knob and they lift out for cleaning. 203943

Here you go…
You will also note the vinyl covered foam block that my wife made for me. I can now rest my knee on it with no pain issues. Maybe someone could make these in different colors for sale.203946203945203944

The Car Cover Planet Mk4 mats come with those locking grommets installed. Still trying to find a way to get them up here.
Edit:was able to order a set today. Will post a pic when I get them in 3 weeks
Received these mats today. The material is a near perfect color match. They’ve made the mats long enough to heat mold the step into the mat.
I will note however the add says the mat has an anchoring grommet and I did speak with them via email about the item who also confirmed among other things, there was an anchoring grommet however they arrived without the grommet.
This is a little thing considering these were less than $200 to my door and local prices were $700.
Took about 2-3 weeks to get up here in Canada
I would buy these again for sure.
