LS oil pan question

Clearance question for the LS oil pan. Ive looked through some build threads but didnt find a answer. FFR calls for a corvette oil pan. The sump is 4.85 deep. I have a LS1 out of camaro and the pan is 5.65 deep. How much clearance do yall have with the corvette pan. Was hoping to use this one but definitely want to keep it above the frame rails.

If you look at the build thread for Budget FF Build, you can see he tried a pan that pretty much matches your Camaro pan. He changed it out to the recommended Corvette pan. Pretty inexpensive on EBay. Why take a chance?

You should definitely use the recommended oil pan. I don't have a photo handy, but I'm pretty sure my pan is even with the bottom of the chassis, and I wouldn't want it any lower.

Even the Corvette pan is close to the bottom of the frame rails. The Camaro pan hangs WAY below the rails.
Don't use the cast aluminum oil pan as a skid plate
