So I ordered the Metro Cobra grommets from Metro direct on Wednesday and received today. Very quick. The question is how to make them fit. The FFR body holes are obround but not large enough for these nice looking grommets. How did you guys modify the body to accept the grommets? I am at go kart stage and just put body on for first time trial. All quick jack locations lined up but aluminum is a bit high in a few places(dash & cubby) and tight at lower trunk.. Thanks Waterman Roadster 207937 picked up 1/27/24

I use pneumatic die grinder with a 3/4” drum sander. You could also use a Dremel with small drum sander or rotary file or good old fashioned manual labor with a round file.

Thank you Jeff. I have the die grinder but now another Amazon order to get right size sander quick. I have a love hate relationship with the big A. Monopoly but next day is hard to beat.

X2 on opening the holes a little, lubricant and manual effort worked for me, when I got it in there initially it was a little deformed but with a little extra manipulation took shape. Not looking forward to removing them...

Mine needed opening up quite a bit. I used a Dremel with a small sanding drum and went slow and easy. Took about 30 minutes for all four.

The grommets are a nice finishing touch.

I used a small round file, it doesn't require much removal.

+1 on the Dremel
Get some larger SS tubes from onlinemetals to fit the ID of the grommet.
You'll also need larger bolts for the QJs or what I did was get some brass bushings to fit on the inside of the SS tubing to use the kit provided hardware.

Monopoly on a distribution/reseller model yes, but you most likely bought from an independent business using Amazon as their back-office workhorse. Amazon itself doesn't manufacture goods. Maybe that makes you feel better. :)
