Hi Folks,
I have recently acquired a partially completed Mk3 roadster kit. Not much has been completed other than some panels, suspension and engine installation. I am looking for the best resources to reference for completing this project in terms of a build manual as well as build threads. As a bit of background, I have recently completed a Gen 3 Coupe.

The kit included Mk3 and Mk4 paper build manuals. While the Mk4 manual is much more detailed, I am not sure if it is entirely relevant to the Mk3 kit. I am wondering if I should be using a Mk4 build manual (paper or electronic) or if I should stay with the older Mk3 manual. Perhaps the answer is that I should use both.

Similarly, in regards to build threads, should I be looking at Mk3 build threads only or are the Mk4 threads relevant.

As always, I appreciate your help!
Tim

You can use both manuals; the biggest differences are in the aluminum panels. The Mk4 has both a Complete Kit manual and a Base Kit version. The Base manual will be more applicable to the Mk3. As for pre-Mk4 build threads, you’ll likely find more of them on ffcars.com than here although some of the photo links may be dead.
