Hey Y'all,
I am doing my 289 kit, and am just getting ready to drop the engine in and doing the parking brake.
I have been fiddling with the mounting and seem to have 2 issues.
Even using the photos in the manual the handle and mechanism do not seem happy. They are close to the Petty Bar and also close to the tunnel.
I seem to have them in a spot that seems to manage but the cables don't seem to really fit in a way that they will not bind somehow.
I got the Mustang Cobra cables that FF suggested and when run seem a few inches long. Maybe if I sort the above they will be fine.
Any suggestions and maybe a detailed picture of your handle mounting would be appreciated.
